How to Change Serial Number and Product ID in RBSU HP ProLiant Server

Entering System Utilities Press [F9] 

Re-entering a serial number 

1. From the System Utilities screen, select System Configuration > BIOS/Platform Configuration (RBSU) > Advanced Options > Advanced System ROM Options > Serial Number and press Enter. 

2. Enter the serial number and press Enter. 

3. Press F10. 

4. Press Enter. 

Product ID 

Use this option to re-enter the product ID after replacing the system board.

NOTE: The Product ID should be modified by a qualified service personnel. This value must match the Product ID located on the chassis. 

 Re-entering a product ID 

1. From the System Utilities screen, select System Configuration > BIOS/Platform Configuration (RBSU) > Advanced Options > Advanced System ROM Options > Product ID and press Enter. 

2. Enter the product ID and press Enter. 

3. Press F10. 

4. Press Enter.
